What the heck is this ?? FOX News NOT covering this ?! I don't believe that!

I agree with their decision--stupid, self-centered b&tch on drugs acts like a stupid, self-centered b&tch on drugs....

--Dog bites man. Where is the story?

The victim was a homeless man with few friends or relatives to interview endlessly.

..."Brandon Glenn Biggs, whose father, Gregory Glenn Biggs, died in the accident, said he held no animosity toward Mallard. The 19-year-old high school senior, who learned the details of his father's death while at school ... said he would like to meet with Chante Mallard. "I'd just like to talk to her. Just ask questions and see why, to get a better understanding I suppose," he said in a telephone interview from his home in Albany, about 35 miles northeast of Abilene."I'm not angry at her. I pray for her actually."Star Telegram

According to the affidavit, Mallard told the women(at a party) that she waited a couple of days for Biggs to die before two male friends removed his body and dumped it in Cobb Park. She said she planned to burn the car and buy a new one after she received her income tax refund, the affidavit says.

Two of Mallard's friends, Clete Deneal Jackson and Herbert Tyrone Cleveland, have pleaded guilty to tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. They were sentenced to 10 years and nine years in prison, respectively, and are expected to testify against Mallard.

Who the heck does she think she is? The Bishop of Phoenix?

Can a Bishop absolve himself of sin?

Here's the text at that link by Neal Boortz:

Chante Mallard – Was It Murder?

By now I suppose everybody who isn't living in a tree somewhere knows the story of Chante Mallard of Fort Worth, Texas. I don't really need to go into the precise details here. She was drugged up … had been drinking … and she hit a homeless man on her way home.

He was thrown through the windshield of her car. Legs broken. Head and torso sticking through her windshield into the car. She drove home with this gravely injured man sticking through her windshield. She pulls into the garage – closes the garage door – gets out of the car and heads inside.

Reports are that she then had sex with her boyfriend. After they were finished, she made the first of several trips back to the car to tell the man she had hit that she was sorry. He begged her to call for help. She didn't. He died.

She had some friends dispose of the body … and then, several months later, she told the wrong people of her adventure. The cops were notified and she was arrested … and here we are.

She's facing a murder charge. Chante says that she didn't get help for the man, didn't try to save his life, because she was afraid that she would go to jail.

Her attorneys are trying a particularly asinine excuse here. They say that, at the very most, the charge should be "failure to stop and render aid."

Great attorneys, huh? Chante Mallard did one helluva lot MORE than just fail to stop and render aid. What she did was make it impossible for ANYONE to stop and render aid. She didn't just fail to help this man. She prevented anyone else from helping him.

It's Texas again. Texas – where James Byrd was dragged to death behind a pickup truck. This homeless man was dragged into a garage and left there to die. It took him a lot longer to die than it did James Byrd. Will the crime be considered to be as hideous?

Who Does Chante Mallard Remind You Of?

Here we have an accident. Someone is inside that car … dying. The driver of the car, however, isn't worried about the person who is dying. The driver of the car is worried about herself. Her main preoccupation is to stay out of jail. It's all about her – not the victim.

Let's turn back the clock a bit. Another accident. Someone is inside the car … in trouble. The driver is outside the car … walking up and down the road, worrying.

Not worrying about going to jail. Worried, instead, about his promising political career. We can imagine that there might have been calls for help from that car. The calls went unheeded. There was a family name to protect – a political career to save.

It took Greg Briggs several hours to die on the hood of Chante Mallard's car. I don't really know how long it took Mary Jo to drown in the back seat of that other car so many years ago.

Two people trying to save their skins. One goes on to be an eternal object of reverence for the nation's media. The other, an object of scorn.

Do you think that Chante Mallard would have a chance of being elected to serve Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate?

I wonder if Boortz intends this to be a subtle slam at my home state. I should certainly hope not - I'd hate to have to go straighten him out.

Well I didn't know she was on drugs and Alcohol, that changes everything. (rolls eyes)

Yeah her concern for being caught drugged up overrides caring for another human being that you just smacked the crap out of with her car. And the fact she left the guy in her windshield to die, doesn't matter either. Or the fact she bragged about it to her coworkers. Yeah I agree she doesn't deserve the death penalty.

And besides us white men are only worth 10pts., so who cares if we get hit and left for dead.

She doesn't face the Death Penalty on this one, though. Pretty strange, huh ??

It's unbelievable!! To let someone suffer like that and go back in the house and ignore them takes a whole new breed of cold heartedness.

I know. It's hard to imagine what kind of critter it takes to do what she did(n't) do for this poor man after she ran over him.
