If there had been a 600% increase in the number of 'A' schools here in California, it would only have meant that the standards for being an 'A' school had taken a nosedive.
I hope Florida's improvements are actually honest ones.

RE your post #20 - I think they are in fact honest ones. I noticed the "D" and "F" schools seem to be high schools, where the students have been in school longer and have been socially promoted in the past. The "A" schools seem to me to be mostly elementary schools, some middle schools, and least frequently, the high schools.
