There is no doubt the accussed in every civil rights case dredged up from the 1960s is guilty. No doubt that people in nursing homes who were 17 in 1943 were Nazi war criminals and should be tried. But the Rosenbergs? Innocent! Innocent!

Meeropol's new book is hovering around 4,000 at Amazon. Sample chapters here.

Sure every library in the country will have it. Mine eats this stuff up but doesn't have one copy of "The Black Book of Communism."

Radosh is obviously a bright guy, but I think he has a slight misunderstanding of the whole situation. A lot of these people (not all of them) aren't carrying on over the sincere belief that the Rosenbergs were innocent. They're simply carrying on the stealth war against America that started way back in the days of World War II.

As for Robert Meeropol, I can't imagine what it would be like to be raised in such circumstances. I don't know whether he's a useful idiot or a true believer, but part of me does feel sorry for him.

.....Meerpol's new book hovering at about 40000.......heheh....good one....

And what about the 1963 movie "Daniel" that director Sidney Lumet adapted from E. L. Doctorow's "The Book of Daniel," his novel based on the Meerpol's -- the Rosenberg's children -- who must confront their painful heritage.

The movie is timelined to the 1960s -- cast includes Ed Asner, Ellen Barkin, Lindsay Crouse, Timothy Hutton, Mandy Patinkin, Tovah Feldshuh, John Rubinstein, and Amanda Plummer.

The movie tanked so fast it was like here today, gone tomorrow according to news reports.

But Hollywarped's Resurrection Committee still tries to defend the indefensible.

They will hear speeches from the Rosenbergs' sons, Robert and Michael Meeropol; from Harry Belafonte; from the ever-present Susan Sarandon, and (of course) from Pete Seeger. . .

What, Comrade Ed Asner couldn't make it? What a shame.

We should not fall for the "Pay-Me-I'm-A-Victim" scam. The son of spies is playing the victim game just to make money from writing yet another book that capitalizes on corrupt individuals who undermined American national security for years and years.

Tovah Feldshuh is appearing today at a benefit to raise money for the Rosenberg Children's Fund.

I lucked out. Until about 33 minutes ago, I never heard of her.

Correction - Daniel was released in 1983 - not 1963.

.....(raising) money for the Rosenberg Children's Fund.....

Watta laugh that is. Typical liberal scam....
The Rosenberg (ahem) "children" must be senior citizens by now,
probably on SS, or sucking up our tax dollars in one way or the other.
Maybe collecting from a tax-supported "Victims' Fund."

Supporting Stalin, the USSR, North Viet Nam and Cuba wasn't a bad career move if you could avoid the electric chair. So many commies ended up well to do, tenured, working for a foundation and/or sucking down tax money someplace.

Meeropol has teamed up with Lynne Stewart, the lawyer indicted for enabling her client, Omar Abdul Rahman, to continue planning terrorist attacks from his prison cell.

Meeropol and Stewart spoke at this National Lawyers Guild Event: Progressives Hit Back!

The same said scumbags who now support Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden, and still support their old Red heroes Kim and Fidel. Can't we just shoot 'em all? :-)

This Radosh review of the Rosenberg crimes stands in complete contrast to Newsday, the Boston Globe and the New York Times. The NYT just today printed an editorial saying the Rosenberg executions were unjust.

It's no wonder that New York communists needed Freudian shrinks so badly. They lived in a world that tried to justify the deadly commie stealth war on the US and many of its citizens. And only Freudian mumbo jumbo could be used to explain the US comminists supporting regimes that unjustly killed so many defenseless people.

I also noticed that Robert, the son of Julius and Ethel, has turned his parents' fate into a cash cow for himself with his foundation. Do you suppose that it is tax exempt?

Once we get 60 Senate seats and can break Democrat filibusters, I believe we can.

I wish more people had their eye on this long term prize.

But then again, what would those Libertarians have to do if not complain about Republicans.
