[history]
LEBANON, N.H. (AP) Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Wednesday that President Bush broke his promise to build an international coalition against Iraq's Saddam Hussein and then waged a war based on questionable intelligence.
''He misled every one of us,'' Kerry said. ''That's one reason why I'm running to be president of the United States.''

''I believe I can hold President Bush accountable if they have misled us,'' he said. He wasn't as determined to hold clinton accountable for misleading us was he?

It may work in his crowd but not with the majority of the voters.

Kerry fails to understand the role of the federal government. The federal government's purpose is not to properly lead us on whatever, but to protect its citizenry from foreign attack, by any means possible.

Well if Kerry said it, it must be true. Guess I'll have to change sides now. Al Sharton in 2004!

The reverse situation will never be true: When Bush is proven right, they will try their damnedest not to hold him accountable. Just you watch.

Kerry was misleading Americans since the day he stood down...from the Braasac River and his Swift Boat....
Which also leads me to believe he was perhaps misleading Americans of the Mobile Riverine Force Flotilla One as well.......
Of course it never hurts to be well connected ,from the right family, and having graduated Ivy League - Skull n Bones

''I will not let him off the hook throughout this campaign with respect to America's credibility and credibility to me because if he lied he lied to me personally,'' he said. It's good to see that lying is considered a crime again by Democrats. < /sarcasm>

''He misled every one of us,'' Kerry said. ''That's one reason why I'm running to be president of the United States.''For some reason, that line just seems hilarious to me...

I live in Massachusetts and the only thing Kerry has been misled on is that the people in his home state like and admire him. During his recent election he lost almost 20% of the vote to a Libertarian candidate that never ran an ad, was not in the newspapers and nobody knew anything about. I have a small business in North Central MA and my customers by a wide majority do even like the guy (he was only re-elected easily because nobody campaigned against him)

John Kerry in 1998...
"If there is not unfettered, unrestricted, unlimited access per the U.N. resolution for inspections, and UNSCOM cannot in our judgment appropriately perform its functions, then we obviously reserve the rights to press that case internationally and to do what we need to do as a nation in order to be able to enforce those rights," Kerry said February 23, 1998. "Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. That is a threat to the stability of the Middle East. It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis. It is a threat even to regions near but not exactly in the Middle East."

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998

You know, Saddam Hussein has got to be delighted with what he's hearing here today and what he's seen in the last days, because he's winning. His strategy is working. Make no mistake about it, his strategy is not to lift the sanctions. His strategy is to build weapons of mass destruction.
