BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Gov. Jennifer Granholm urged healing and reconciliation Thursday after surveying the damage from two nights of rioting and meeting with leaders in this city plagued by poverty and racial tensions.
"The state must wrap its arms around this community," Granholm said. "It should never have to take violence to have elected officials pay attention, but we are paying attention and we are moving forward."
Hundreds rioted in Benton Harbor on Monday and Tuesday nights after the death of Terrance Shurn, 28, whose speeding motorcycle crashed as police chased him into the city from neighboring Benton Township. Several fires were set, police and firefighters were attacked, about a dozen people were hurt and 10 were arrested.

Oh isn't that great, they get to riot over police mistreatment (even though the the police did nothing wrong), make excuses for criminal behavior, and now they're probably going to get money and other goodies for having rioted. Wonderful.

Yeah we've come a long way, used to be people would shoot looters and rioters, now we're all supposed to sit around and feel sorry for them.

" It should never have to take violence to have elected officials pay attention,..." At least Governor Granholm was big enough to admit that she caused this problem by her inattention.........that is what she meant, isn't it?

Another idiot like Chief Moose. Morons all. Glad I only have Governor Dufus to deal with. Wait. Arrrrgh. Aaaaaah!

"The state must wrap its arms around this community," Granholm said. The state must send in well-armed men to keep order, and shoot looters dead on sight, and give any shiftless punks who are obviously looking for trouble a damned good hiding.

It began with disobeying the law. They resisted arrest and put the cops and countless pedestrians and motorists at risk. The fatality can be attributed to their own reckless behavior. And then the community protests? Why? The police chief in that town is black and so are many of the police officers. Why should the state wrap their arms around that community? It seems they are standing against the police and creating havoc in the area in defense of a few law-breaking criminals who jeapaordized the lives of countless innocents. Just say NO to Democrats who lionize criminals and their fans.

I'm going to ask my reps to make em pay of it themselves.

Good luck on that one.
But you know it must be nice, to have the luxury of having a giant temper tantrum, break the law in the name of poilice misconduct (even though they did nopthing wrong) and then make you and me pay for it all, plus the rewards.
Isn't Marxism grand!
