How is "law work being exported"?

Paralegal, research, boilerplate contracts... obviously not trial nor consultation. Whatever can be done online can be exported. If doing a patent or trademark search, if looking for previous court rulings, for handling international contracts. No one said that things need to be performed in the united States if it can be done elsewhere.

In IT, find a job that requires physical prescence

Startups, short term contract, specialized, UI work, consulting, upgrades, customizations, fire-fighting... It is the multinationals and the large corporations that are outsourcing. The hassle required for small companies to export outside the US often isn't worth the alleged savings.

How about posting salaries of physicians and nurses? They're the next over here on the H1b train wreck.

Already happening.

Someone should ask Bush or Zoellick what, exactly, is the worth of a college degree going to be when you're competiting against third world countries for jobs?

Wouldn't do any good. Bush is a one-world globalist just like Clinton with a different spin modality. Remember the New World Order his father spoke of? This is it.

Yes, IT is about the lowest form of software.

Writing device drivers for random peripherals is more rewarding, intellectually and remuneratively.

H-1B workers are paid equal to or higher wages than US Workers because their wages are literally dictated and enforced by the Department of Labor, which require high salaries in order to dissuade the displacement of American workers. It is therefore more expensive to pay for an Indian H-1B than it is to pay an American worker, because with an American worker, you can pay them whatever you want, as long as it is above minimum wage.

Go here for the Federally mandated wage library, wherein wages for foreign (H-1B and Green Card) workers are etched in stone, and as you can see, are generally higher than what most American citizen workers in this country get, for any type of job.

Before an H-1B can work here, the employer has to have a labor certification approved first, and compliance with the DOL wage standards are mandatory. Sorry to burst your bubble.
