worse.

no solution.

unless:

1. parents instill values and self-discipline in their children.

2. the labor unions are kicked out of education.

the labor unions are kicked out of education.

The unions care only for the unions and nothing for the children. The parents in our district have been told that time and again.

One solution is that parents become involved with the schools and inform themselves about what is being taught. BUT most parents COULD CARE LESS. They might want their child to get good grades, but in our district, our high school which has a track record for no paper or soap in the bathrooms, filthy bathrooms that kids refuse to enter and overflowing septic tank because the school is overcrowded, these same parents leave their kids where the bathrooms are unusable, all day long. I think this is the height of cruelty because none of these parents would work at a job where there were no usable bathroom facilities, but they drop their kids off every morning without a thought about how unhealthy the situation is for their child.

The teachers admit this is a problem, but to save money they are cutting the custodial staff, because the union won't allow any of their members to be laid off.

Splendid idea. Let's kick the NEA out of political campaigns as well. Anyone who thinks the NEA is a non-partisan organization must also believe the earth is flat.
