If our ahem, 'elected officials' were to pass such a law I think I'd have a heart attack from disbelief !
In Ct. the insurance and 'wealth management' companies have been laying off IT staff by the droves and using foreigners, especially folks from India.
I've been bagged twice, once in 96 and then in 2003.
The market for IT jobs sucks in Ct.

The New Jersey Bill ? Inbound Call Center Bill ? which literally triggered off a slew of similar legislation across the US against outsourcing work to countries like India, was last week withdrawn from the floor of the NJ assembly. This was after the Democratic Caucus voted 30-3 against supporting the proposal. The Republican Caucus had earlier vetoed it unanimously.

Someone should ask the Republican Caucus what they are doing to foster work here in America vs giving the green light to send anything offshore.

They need to tie all immigration levels to the unemployment and welfare levels. If we have people out of work, we don't need more people.
