"We were misled," Howard Dean, a rabid liberal, a complete idiot, and a Democratic presidential hopeful, said today on the NBC News program "Meet the Press." The United States was led to war, he said, "based on facts that turned out not to be accurate. I think that's pretty serious." O.K., I remember that one of Clinton's wars was based on claims of genocide that turned out to be mostly fabricated. Does anyone remember the specifices (I realize that it has only been a few years, but I have tried to block most of the Clinton years out of my memory).

"...Clinton's wars was based on claims of genocide " Satellite photos were supposed to have revealed a mass grave. It turned out to be a recently tilled tomatoe patch.

O.K., I remember that one of Clinton's wars was based on claims of genocide that turned out to be mostly fabricated. That was Kosovo, where the Serbs were allegedly systematically wiping out Albanians. It was a big lie. Neither side in that situation was innocent, both sides were engaged in killing (it was a civil war), and never once did Klintoon explain why we had to get involved. (I do know why: Klintoon had to keep some misdeed off the front page. Wag the dog, and all that.)
