If greatest is meant as having the most impact, and not as being morally or philosophically correct, then Marx does belong up there. His philosophy is ultimately responsible for the vast majority of war and genocide in the twentieth century.

I understand that and if my brain was working properly this evening, I would've mentioned something to that effect. I was just thinking that it seemed a little too positive and perhaps promotional.

He wasn't correct in practice either. If Marx were alive today, he'd probably be just another Usenet kook.
