It will probably enter our court system in the form of a suit filed against 'a partner' for a pension or some sort messy breakup and multiple claims on the money. Somewhere along the line the courts will have to affirm or deny a gay marriage from Canada. That is the way that this ruling in Canada can eventually affect us.
