LATELY, IT SEEMS, were just not in the mood. Were overworked, anxious about the economyand we have to drive our kids to way too many T-Ball games. Or maybe its all those libido-dimming antidepressants were taking. We resent spouses who never pick up the groceries or their dirty socks. And if we actually find we have 20 minutes at the end of the dayafter bath time and story time and juice-box time and e-mail timewho wouldnt rather zone out to Leno than have sex? Sure, passion ebbs and flows in even the healthiest of relationships, but judging from the conversation of the young moms at the next table at Starbucks, it sounds like were in the midst of a long dry spell.

My suggestion..watch the Senate on C-span 2...you can have sex during the quorum calls..they happen often, last a long time, and the music they play is great..

I heard Beck's stand-in talking about this article this morning. I wondered what FReepers thought. Having wee-ones is an energy and emotion strain but hardly a deal-killer....for me anyhow.

Researchers have discovered that certain foods depress the female sex drive.
The most prominent of these is Wedding Cake.

Why am I not suprised?..lol
;>)
I have heard some couples ...actually girl talk from my wife that originated from her friends disclosing that some women do get a bit tired of being chased after a day of either work or dealing with babies....the latter being a lot harder in my view.
Burned out men?....when I'm dead.

Listening to my female friends, yes it is true. And, here's why:
For Maddie Weinreich, sex had always been a joy. It helped her recharge her batteries and reconnect with her husband, Roger. But teaching yoga, raising two kids and starting up a businessnot to mention cooking, cleaning and renovating the houseleft her exhausted.
The stupid woman is trying to do too much. Way too much. She's a married woman, a mother, her priorities need to be with her family not her yoga, not her business, not renovating the house. N.O.W. has done their job, yet again. Women are spending less time doing those things that are truly important and more doing those things that aren't.
Notice that intimacy with her husband had been a way to recharge her batteries, yet she somehow doesn't understand that all those things taking her away from it are discharging them unnecessarily.

- No children -- meet in the hall, go directly to bed.
- One child -- meet in the hall, check on baby, go to bed
- Two kids -- meet in the hall, check on baby, give toddler a video to watch, and hope you're still in the mood when you get to bed.
- Three kids -- say "____ you" to each other as your rush past each other in the hall.

I found this little nugget a bit of a suprise:
Wives say they were the driving force in 56.2 percent of divorces, according to Hacker, while men say they were the ones who wanted out only 23.3 percent of the time.
