As best I can tell, no court order prompted the decision, but I could be wrong. As was the case last time, they waited until everyone had the planting done to maximize the economic harm and the resultant "rural cleansing". What a friend the farmers have in Bush. Not.

His green socialist brother is even worse. We must make sure that this creature NEVER makes it anywhere near the primaries, much less the Whitehouse.
He's sewn his lips to the a$$ of every single Green socialist movement in this state, an evirowhack's best friend. He's been a disaster to my area personally, and has very much harmed many people I care deeply about. He's also responsible for the flooding and bulldozing of the families that live in the 81/2 square mile area in Homestead.
He must never ever be president. EVER.

What a friend the farmers have in Bush. Not.I understand and share your frustration, but until we have more actual facts, isn't that presumption premature? So far, we don't know if this is the result of a lifelong bureaucrat, Clinton holdover, activist judge, renegade career civil servant, envirowhacko's abusing/manipulating the court system, or something else. Is this the intended result of a Bush appointee's decision, is it in line with Bush admin policies/goals, or perhaps a poor bureaucratic system disfunction?

Say what?

It's not worthless when you're on the wrong end of this treacherous nightmare.
I bet you live nice and safely in the city, or a burb somewhere where your way of life isn't being destroyed for political purposes, you don't see the ruination and injustice. You can afford to just barge in and run your mouth because people who live in such places can sluff off the complaints of those getting overrun as "worthless".
Please shut your mouth. It's not "worthless".

There's no information AAA.

What a strange post, considering Jeb just ticked off the envirowhacko's by line-iteming funding for the Florida high-speed trains.
But let him do something that disagrees with a person's one pet project, and he then becomes 100% evil, regardless of the facts. Aren't you simply the flip side of the enviroextremists that declare Bush to be a murdering, poisoning, polluter every time Bush suggests that one of their ideas may not be wise? Hyperbole does neither side good.

Make that "line-item vetoing funding for the trains".

Ya...right. Bush personally closed the flood gates. He's big into "rural cleansing".
Take a breath, folks!
Sheesh...

"Make that "line-item vetoing funding for the trains". No, make that "you're a freaking moe-moe who hasnt' a clue as usual".
Don't talk to me about trains piker, I'll show you the houses that once had families that now house Park Rangers with their 45,000 4wd vehicles. Beautiful property that's now overgrown with weeds and endangered species. I'll show you the devalued and flooded homesteads. I'll show you the federal "No trespassing signs".
And you want to talk about TRAINS.
As usual you haven't a clue about any damn thing, you just reflexively defend anything wth a Bush in front of it.

Am contacting people now to check up on this. According to a local there, water stopped flowing through the gates just before noon. No court order. BOR doing Interirors bidding perhaps? I don't know.
There are some mad people talking on the KlamathCrisis Site, but I will contact farmers I know and report back.
If it's true, it is not a good thing at all. They've had a good wet Spring and felt thay had potentially an excellent season coming up...this will devastate them because the planting is done and the crops are growing. No water means they will die and the farmers will lose the entire investment just like in 2000.
