Though this occurred just two days ago, it seems like a l lifetime. As I write this, the DC Chapter is engaging the forces of evil at the Pentagon City COSTCO. Good news, Hillary is using the stockpile of "pre-signed" books. I'm sure her loathing of the military and the locale of "Pentagon City" combined to make her decide to treat tonight's adoring sheep herd as second class citizens.
Heres bvws report he filed on the announcement thread:
Hillary Freeped in Philadelphia. Fatime, Fatima's daughter, Doctor Raoul. We stood at the south side of the streat and held up signs and Doc Raoul keep up the spirit with his 25 watt megaphone. I estimate the line about 150, maybe 250 total over two hours. No sight of her lowness. I did get to meet a few of the Secret Service Philly office and we were cheered on by many lunchtime urban pedestrians.A few hot and bothered libs approached us. Including one Baby Huey-sized retired Marine in a wife-beater who was in among us very quick-like and ranting at Doc Raoul. Fortunately as he put his hands on Raoul -- Don Giordano, the WPHT 1210-AM radio host, defused the situation with a microphone and quick repartee. With the "glare" of the BigTalker's mike upon him he backed off and denied harrassing the erstwhile Doc Raoul.
He was nutz. We were essentially surrounded by obvious plain-clothes police and secret service, and maybe four, five undercover I'd guess. Still -- in a crowd damage can be done quickly, and the sidewalk we were on was crowded. So Don Giodano, radio host and quick-thinker, deserves a round of applause from us all, and here's a thanks to him -- hoping he reads it -- from me.
Heres fatimas report she filed on the announcement thread:
Thanks for the report bvw, It was nice to meet you and Doctor Raoul and another freeper on her lunch break,-I forgot her name-if your reading this ,here is a hug. A very small crowd for the shrill and as soon as I got there I was interviewed by Fox news on a different subject, then a local paper, the reporter said to me "doesn't everyone lie in their memoirs". I also had my picture taken many times, they like my sign-"Hillary where's Bill" supplied by the good Doc.Many people tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to turn around so they could see our sign and they all laughed. We did have a few in your face people on our side, the one was a young woman who could not get over the fact that we had a sign that Bill had been accused of rape. She claimed to be a reporter I think ,and was asking the Doctor many questions, he gave answers-she didn't like them. She claimed to council rape victims ,I didn't believe her and she jumped from the Doctor over to bvw with the same questions. The Hillary crowd on the other side of the street liked the Doc and seemed to be in agreement with him and were just there to read about the sex.
It was a small crowd,500 tickets were available and I counted 150 at the most there. The crowd was mostly 30 to 50 year old woman, maybe she paid them to be there, no-way she sold 500 from what I saw. The pro-lifers arrived and set up in front of and standing next to the crowd standing in line. I was surprised that the cops let them but there they were. The crowd booed them and a few of the women were hot with them but the cops, CIA, and the plainclothes men were there so that was OK.
On our side of the street all were glad we were there except for a few. My 17 year old daughter, Mary, went with me and I was happy she was there. I found out later that the pro-lifers may have been from generation life. Before the Doctor got there we had people leaving the bank offering us cigars, thanking us, telling us we were right on. Doctor forgot his camera and so did I, sorry, fatima and fatima's daughter. PS Hillary supporters are wimpets.
Thanks to bvw, fatima and fatima's daughter for turning out, and to warf for stopping by to lend encouragement. We did get a surprising number of people who stopped and literally thanked us for being there and doing that. It was very similar to when we first started protesting Bill Clinton in 1998. Few people and certainly no media criticised Bubba at that time. We had the same reaction, lots of people thanking us, some even wanted to contribute financially to assure we could continue. On that point we decilned but asked them to consider donating to the website that brought us together and made the protests possible.
The one lady was unbelievable in her defense of Clinton. She did the "well there were no witnesses" bit. I pointed out that no judge ever witnessed the actual rape, yet they convict rapists ever day. She absolutely refused to go find and read Cynthia Alknes' Wall Street Journal editorial on how Cynthia demolished the "It's he said, she said" defense. Alknes' piece basically said that she, as a federal sex crimes prosecutor, put many rapists behind bars with a lot less evidence than has been reported with respect to the Broaddrick allegation. She even said, "Some women think they've been raped, when they haven't." And that a lot of women claim rape when they know none occurred. It was just sickening to meet one of these people in person. I started to explain how a House investigator, a woman who was a former sex crimes detective, found Juanita responding like a prime example of a rape victim, and this woman exclaimed that she worked with rape victims. Well from her attitude and belief system, I can only conclude that she's a defense lawyer that defends rapists for a living.
We had one guy get a little physical, so a call for the police was in order. Imagine a 40 year old eight year old and that was this guy. Talk show host Dom Giordano was there looking for some material for his show (Good job Dom, not enough hosts do those thisgs). Dom challenged the guy on what he was doing. I'm sure Baby Huey has seen the inside of a jail cell before and probably mistook Dom for a detective because he was wearing a suit. So Baby Huey backs off and is sort of respectful until he sees Dom's tape recorder and realized that he's not a detective. He gives Dom some guff, but Dom stands his ground. He finally gets the guy to say he's harassing me because "He's stupid" or something to that effect. As I'm protesting and listening at the same time, I didn't get the whole thing but wasn't worried because Dom did tell the guy he'd be on the radio that evening. Unfortunately, since I was at the White Marsh Freep later, I missed it. Can anyone tell me what Dom used that night?
As the Hillary line was thin, we left about an hour after she got there and long before she left. She told an adoring Philadelphia reporter that the key to signing books is to ice the hand right afterwards. Well the reporter missed the BIGGER story, how Hillary never intended to sign books, but was embarassed into doing it by Dom Giordano.
While we were there, some families from Ossage Avenue joined the crowd with their protest. Their homes, destroyed and rebuilt after the MOVE fire, were still having major problems. So while there, I lent them my megaphone a few times. As we left, a few TV crews seemed interested in them, so I lent them it again for about 10 minutes.
fatima and daughter had to run, so bvw and I grabbed lunch and then split.
How can we verify this? If so, this is a big, no...Hugh story.
"Senator from New York fakes signature".
The whole thing is a real-life metaphor for liberal social welfare programs.
Auto-pens are amazing today.
Also, no photographs allowed? That makes every single book signed worthless. No evidence that she signed it.
WELCOME
Way to go, D.C. Freepers!
