Howard Dean is the latest Democrat to throw his hat into the ring as a presidential candidate.
Here's why, under no circumstances, will I support the former Vermont governor in this Quixotic bid.
He's a radical. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I consider myself a radical, too. But, then again, I'm not running for president. But, when I say Dean is radical, it is in the worst sense of the word.
He's off the charts in his political extremism. He's not anywhere near the mainstream of American politics. This guy cannot and will not succeed in his run. His real goal, it seems to me, is to push the debate to the fringe.
On NBC's "Meet the Press" last weekend, he said he would press every state to recognize homosexual marriages. He signed a law recognizing the civil unions of homosexual couples in Vermont.
"I would insist that every state find a way to recognize the same legal rights for gay couples as they do for everybody else," said Dean. "If a couple goes to Canada and gets married, when they come back, they should have exactly the same legal rights as every other American."
Hmmm. Interesting logic. By that standard, if Canada adopts a new law legalizing civil unions between humans and another species, these arrangements should be accorded with respect here in the states. If Canada legalizes civil unions between fathers and daughters, then the United States is obligated to respect those laws. If Canada endorses polygamy, then the U.S. is obligated to respect such unions.
Do you see my problem, here, Mr. Dean?
How far out of step with the American people is Mr. Dean?
It should be an indication that no other Democratic presidential candidate has taken such an extraordinary position on homosexual marriage. They may be for it. But they dare not speak it. They understand that most Americans find such unions abhorrent and know where they lead.
Richard Gephardt, Dennis Kucinich, Al Sharpton, John Kerry and Carol Moseley Braun are all in favor of civil unions for homosexuals, yet none of them have taken the position that Dean has in support of Canada's court ruling.
Canadian courts think it is unconstitutional to limit the institution of marriage to unions between men and women. They have determined it is discriminatory to homosexuals to do so that they are somehow being denied rights to participate in this institution.
It's true. The institution of marriage does discriminate. So what? It also discriminates against incest. It discriminates against multiple partners. It discriminates against non-human partners. It also discriminates in most states on the basis of age.
This idea that discrimination meaning the making of a value judgment is a bad thing demonstrates just how whacky Howard Dean is.
This guy is out there. He is trying to position himself as the "most progressive" of all the candidates and, depending on your definition of the term, he has been successful.
My guess is the candidacy of Howard Dean will not make the first cut of primaries. His attacks on President Bush's character exceed the boundaries of good taste and civil politics even by Democratic Party standards.
That's why I thought I should write about Howard Dean early on. He's not likely to be in contention for very long.

I bet that is just who Bill and Hill hope gets the nod. He will get creamed and that will allow Hillary to seem "moderate" in 08 and allow her to minimize the radical left because of the shellacking they took in 04.

I'm rooting for Howard Dean or Al Sharpton. It would be an interesting fall race in the event the Democrats nominated either of them. Or maybe even on a joint ticket. LOL!

Here's why, under no circumstances, will I support the former Vermont governor in this Quixotic bid. Well, he certainly seems to be the candidate of the Left Media. Do you suppose their support is premised precisely on his stance strongly in favor of the homosexual agenda? You don't suppose that could be it?
Which, if the answer is yes, raises the further question......is the mainstream newsroom itself gay? Have gays taken over reporting, editing, and production, and turned journalism into a gay-friendly closed shop?

He will get creamed and that will allow Hillary to seem "moderate" in 08 and allow her to minimize the radical left because of the shellacking they took in 04. I wouldn't put it past those two. Sitting there like spiders, picking off all the alternatives one by one. It was Hillary who personally stomped on Al Gore's air hose last fall, when he was trying to decide. She called the big Left Coast contributors and told them not to commit to helping Al, to be cool in school and let a better candidate develop.
Yeah, right, lady.

In the upcoming democratic primary (2004) ...
BIG AL NEEDS OUR HELP! - Register as a democrat and vote for Crazy Al!
Rev. Al Sharpton is officially running for president in 2004.
During the May 3, 2003 demoncrap debate in Columbia, S.C., our man Al stated The way to move a donkey is to slap the donkey, and Im going to slap the donkey until the donkey kicks.
Lets help Crazy Al slap the donkey until it kicks.
Assume GW has the Republican nomination sewn up. Its time for all good republicans, libertarians, and independents to stand up and be counted. Lets take a page from Sen. McCains play book. Prior to the 2004 democratic presidential primary in your state, re-register as a democrat and vote for Al Sharpton!
Wouldnt it be great if Crazy Al won! At the very least, lets ensure he gets prime time speaking rights at the 2004 nationally televised democratic convention. You gotta love it. Line up, sign up, and send this to all your like-minded friends.
Here is a link to planned 2004 primary dates from the National Association of Secretaries of State:

How about an Al Sharpton yard sign?

Want to keep up on the latest on Big Als progress? Go to the Republicans for Sharpton website at:

Oh yea, and dont forget to call the local demoncrap party headquarters and ask them the following before the primary election:
1. Can I get a ride to the polls help them spend their money during the primaries so theyll have less during the national election. Have them take you the scenic route and stop off and do some shopping on the way home.
2. Are you giving anything away free for voting democrat? Cigarettes, box of cigars, box lunch, etc. Ask for two of each.
3. Send 25 cents in the mail to the DNC and watch how much they spend on mailing you to give to the party. Always send their solicitation back to them with all associated literature in the prepaid envelope included in the mailing. They have to pay that postage upon return. Great way to help them spend money and keep you up to date on their propaganda.

I would take Sharpton over Dean. At least there is something likeable and humorous about Sharpton. Dean gives me the creeps.

The homosexual juggernaut has won the day in entertainment and education...two high profile cultural indices. It is virtually impossible for prime time sitcoms to not weave the topic into the story lines, and in a number of cases the only white males in these shows that are sensible and likeable are gays. The educational foray into this area is well documented on these boards and others...I expect high school diplomas to be withheld in the future if a student cannot demonstrate proper tolerance and approval of the lifestyle. Why should mainstream journalism, so slavishly trending after the entertainment industry, not be in thrall as well?

His statement came as a response during fernado ferrers primary run for mayor and had me almost falling off my couch.
How can a reverand support and believe in abortions?
Sharptons response, "The right people aren't my people, I belive a woman has a right to choose just as I believe homosexuals have the right to marry".

Well, he certainly seems to be the candidate of the Left Media. Do you suppose their support is premised precisely on his stance strongly in favor of the homosexual agenda? You don't suppose that could be it?To be honest with you, I don't think the media has been that supportive of Dean, they always, and I mean always ephasize that most people (i.e. them) don't think he can win.
The NY Times ran a few hit pieces on him, and alot of the big higher up in the democratic party are trying to kill his campaign. Its been noted that every time somone dem attacks dean, his poll numbers go up, and the fringe base gets more motivated and ticked off.
The party knows he can't win, and the media knows it will be impossible to sell this guy to the public, especially when he is so hostile to moderates and independents and centerists (he lumps them all in the radical right wing category, and if you agree with him on 99% of the issues and disagree with him on gay unions, then your still a bigot, nice way to run eh?).
The times tried to make him look moderate, and tried to gloss over his record, the problem, he talked, and went out of his way to make himself sound like an extremist. This guy is the next McGovern, he makes Dukacis sound moderate.

Thumbs up from the winking gay in the back of the room?
