I thank you- my Mom, ( who passed away recently ) ended up in Army Intelligence in WWII ( she was a Master Sarge in the WACs and got injured stateside ) and she was a big supporter of old Joe. To the day she died, she maintained there were things she had learned on the job that her oaths forbade talking about. The closest she ever came to telling me was simply "There were many more Communists in the government than anyone ever suspected."
