The people who run the polling places are not consistent. I vote at one church for city elections and at another for state and federal elections. In the one I'm required to show ID and sign the register, in the other I'm just required to sign.

When I pulled out my ID, the lady said, "Oh yeah, I guess I should make sure you're this person..."
