Israeli government source rejects Hamas truce (not worth the paper it's written on)

A senior Israeli government source has responded to a Hamas decision to suspend attacks on Israelis by saying any truce signed by the Palestinian militant group was not worth the paper it's written on. The source repeated Israel's bedrock demand that Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas dismantle Hamas and other militant factions under the terms of a U.S.-backed "road map" to peace affirmed at a June 4th Middle East summit.
Earlier Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin had said that Hamas had decided to call a truce. The news came amid more violence following an incursion by Israeli forces into the Gaza Strip. Four Palestinians and one Israeli soldier were killed in the unsuccessful attempt to arrest a leading member of the armed wing of the Hamas group.

Hamas is working so hard for peace and Israel is of no help :(

I don't care if it's written on toilet paper.
If the violence stops, isn't that proof?

"I don't care if it's written on toilet paper. If the violence stops, isn't that proof? "Even better than written. Time for Bush to guarantee peace for both sides on his roadmap. Peace there would be the most successful achievement of his administration.

My exact sentiments! Good to see Israel won't fall for this farce hook, line and sinker.
