Subject: Hillary is smiling
June 29, 2003
Senator Hillary Clinton is smiling thanks to Republicans. The Republican-led Congress did to America what Hillary Clinton tried to do to us ten years ago
and Hillary couldnt be happier. Welcome to Hillary Care!
The House and Senate each recently passed their own version of a Medicare prescription drug bill and will soon vote on a final version which then will be sent to President Bush to sign. When President Bush signs the bill, the Republicans will have successfully forced upon us a straight-jacket of socialized medicine that even Harry Houdini could not escape.
The House passed its version by only one vote (216 to 215) early Friday morning. It took the House leadership hours of arm-twisting, deal-making and yelling (the microphones are turned off so you cant hear on C-SPAN what is said on the floor during votes) to secure that razor thin margin. In fact, it came down to the last minute
and then some. The vote was scheduled to last five minutes, but was extended by almost one hour. Once that 216th vote was secured, the gavel fell ending the vote and ushering in Hillary Care.
However, a courageous group of 19 Republicans stood firm and voted against Hillary Care. Eight of those 19 votes were Liberty Caucus members.
Democrats voted against the bill because they wanted more money and simply to oppose the Republicans. But even though House Democrats voted against it, dont think they arent smiling along with Hillary Clinton. The Democrats, yet again, suckered the Republicans into giving them what they wanted anyway.
The 19 Republicans who voted against Hillary Care should be congratulated. The 207 Republicans who voted for it should be criticized.
Learn how your U.S. representative voted. If he voted against Hillary Care, thank him for standing for principle and not caving in to political pressure. If he voted for Hillary Care, tell him youre disappointed and will remember his vote.

I don't know what to say about Bush and the Republicans, but there is no way in which this can continue to be accepted. How do they even have a conscious? What do they believe anymore? They are basically going liberal and there is no excuse for this.

Well, the bill is not out of joint committee yet, and even then, it will have to face the House and Senate separately once more.
I do not see reconciliation for some time, if ever.
Perhaps this is disposal of an issue by being only faintly embraced. Considered and debated, but not enacted in anything like the original form if at all.

Wendall Goler (sp?) reported on Brit Hume's show this past week that both houses of congress have said they will not change their bill in conference. He said that the odds of getting a reconciliation bill are dicey, at best.
I hope he's right. I'd like for them to put this baby to bed.

Hildabeast's health care was much more than prescription drugs for seniors! It contained every area of medicine for everyone, so this goes a bit far here. I don't know why everyone is surprised, the President said he wanted prescription drugs for seniors while campaigning. He is fullfilling that promise.

"I don't know why everyone is surprised, the President said he wanted prescription drugs for seniors while campaigning. He is fullfilling that promise. "I'm with you. Comparing it to Hitlary's socialized medicine is way off base.
And both Republicans and Democrats campaigned on providing a prescription drug benefit.

I didn't realize HillaryCare provided for privatization of Medicare services. This is news to me.

You are correct...however, it does appear the President has backed away from his original proposal in embracing what just passed in the Senate, which is more like the Gore plan than his plan.

The 19 Republicans who voted against Hillary Care should be congratulated. The 207 Republicans who voted for it should be criticized. About 200 Democrats also voted against "Hillary Care". Are they to be praised as well? Are they now members of the "Liberty Caucus"?

And both Republicans and Democrats campaigned on providing a prescription drug benefit. They also campained on reducing the size of government.
Politicians, once elected, forget the hands that got them there.
Politics:
Poly (Latin) - Meaning many.
Tics - Small blood sucking creatures.

Hillary is smiling so much, she voted against even the Senate version of the bill.
This article may have a point, but they put it in an assinine context which deminishes its meaning.

Hillary is smiling so much, she voted against even the Senate version of the bill.Only because the Republican plan doesn't give free tax funded health care to her rich friends in Hollywood. She wants more. Much, much more. Total control of the health care of each and every American, reguardless of wealth or current insurance coverage.
She wants total control of doctors - what they practice, where they live, who they serve.
Health care is just the beginning of the total power Hillary craves. She won't end it here. Shared housing and private property is next. She wants all the power. The nation belongs to her, and only her. She's a leftist loonie.
To: concerned about politics
She's a leftist loonie. You are waaaay too kind.
She's evil incarnate. And, that's one of her good points.
