A new plan to enlist the state Legislature's help in erasing Pittsburgh's $60 million budget deficit is getting a frosty reception from local legislators.
"They lost me with Step 1 -- increasing the occupation privilege tax from $10 to $100 a year," state Sen. Sean Logan, D-Monroeville, said yesterday about the plan drafted by Mayor Tom Murphy and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development.
