I kinda like to send 'em to Bootcamp, get their attention, then let 'em come here to practice what they learned over there.

There is a MUCH easier way to do all; IF you are using outlook express.
I start a new-mail and type it however I want it, choosing fonts and colors and images (from WEB only: YOUR pictures on YOUR computer will NOT work)
Then I click the SOURCE tab at bottom of window and copy everything in between the <body> commands and paste it into the reply box on FR: like so................

There are some WordProcessor programs that will output an HTML formatted file, too. But I do not know the names of them.

Due to unpopular demand, the BLINK function was removed from later browser versions. It appears that the MARQUEE function was severely emasculated as well.........

easier than typing out all the tags.  Anybody else got tips?

I'll share this:

Here it is:

I hope you don't find this presumptuous, but I have found this web tool for IE5 to be invaluable.
I found it on an 'HTML Bootcamp' thread and since so few of us ever go back to 'old' threads, I have been posting it to folks that may have brought over a little more HTML from their article than they wanted.

What it means is that you can usually highlight just the article that normally resides in the middle of the page. (away from all the ads and tables etc)

After you have highlighted just the text you want, hold your mouse over the highlighted text, right click and copy your 'View Partial Source' and bring it over to FR.

Keeps you from doing what you did. :-)

Here's a great tip: With Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0+ you can easily download and install a few cool tools, such as "View Partial Source." With that extra small tool installed on your PC, you can highlight a segment of any webpage, right-click, and choose to view the partial source of whatever got highlighted by your mouse. Now you don't have to look through an entire page's source code, just the small part of the page you are interested in viewing.

Here's the link for IE web tools:
http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/IE/WebAccess/default.asp
and look at the bottom of the page for "Web Developer Accessories." You will need to reboot to get it to work.

Thanks, Howlin !! That 'View Partial Source' is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I've been using that for quite a while, and would sure hate to go back to where I was before.
