Empire Strikes Back was the last good star wars movie. The series has deteriorated rapidly ever since.

It's all a matter of taste, but I actually think The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the lot. Lucas didn't direct that one and it thereby was endowed with reasonably intelligent dialog, clever plotting, better than film school editing, and less raw corn than any of the others. IMHO the Attack of the Clones was just plain awful, so I'm not holding my breath for the next one.
