Look what happened to Newt when he dared write a book while he was in Congress. The Republic was in danger! The media went crazy over his conflict of interest and unethical behavior.

Received the following in an e-mail from a friend today:

"Hillary's got this huge book, it's a memoir of her life and times at
the White House. In the book she says when Bill told her he was
having an affair, she said 'I could hardly breathe, I was gulping
for air.' No, I'm sorry, that's what Monica said." - David Letterman

"Hillary Clinton's book hits the stores this Monday. Oh boy, it took
her a long time to write it. But in her defense, every time she tried
to use the desk, Bill was always using it for a date." - Jay Leno

"Hillary Clinton's 506-page memoirs comes out next week. So much of
her personality shines through, that in the end, you'll want to sleep
with an intern." - Craig Kilborn

"In Hillary Clinton's new book 'Living History,' Hillary details what
it was like meeting Bill Clinton, falling in love with him, getting
married, and living a passionate, wonderful life as husband and wife.
Then on page two, the trouble starts." - Jay Leno

"Hillary Clinton has finished her memoirs for publication next year,
while Bill has barely finished the first chapter. Well, in all fairness,
Fiction is a lot harder to write." - Jay Leno

"Hillary Clinton, our junior senator from New York, announced that
she has no intentions of ever, ever running for office of the President
of the United States. Her husband, Bill Clinton, is bitterly
disappointed. He is crushed. There go his dreams of becoming a
two-impeachment family." - David Letterman

"Last night, Senator Hillary Clinton hosted her first party in her
new home in Washington. People said it was a lot like the parties she
used to host at the White House. In fact, even the furniture was the
same." - Jay Leno

"Senator Hillary Clinton is attacking President Bush for breaking his
campaign promise to cut carbon dioxide emissions, saying a promise
made, a promise broken. And then out of habit, she demanded that Bush
spend the night on the couch." - Late, Late Show host Craig Kilborn

"Hillary Clinton is the junior senator from the great state of New
York. When they swore her in, she used the Clinton family Bible. You
know, the one with only seven commandments." - David Letterman

How very generous of you Hillary.

Does that seem odd and self-convciting to anyone else?

Well yes, but then, she only gives the people 5 or 6 seconds to say something!

Newt took a licking for even trying to get an advance (which he didn't do in the end). But what hillary is doing is more like what cost Wright his job. Everyone who wants her to make a political appearance has to guarantee a number of book sales.
Oh, yeah, she calls them "book signings" and that makes it ok. If she were honest, she'd call them "passing out of stamped books".

Living History is piggy-backing off of the new Harry Potter book as we speak.

THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH FICTION!

"One man in a devil's costume . . .has been following me for three years," Clinton said.

Someone should write HRC and tell her there is no man in a devil suit.....It's the real thing!

I said much the same the other day, but you added the perfect touch. Both are about witches! WONDERFUL.

Let's hope they both receive the same treatment. A book children get but never really read!

This is the funny part.

By her estimate, she's signed 10,000 copies of her memoirs.

By HER ESTIMATE. By an actual count, she has signed 200.

"Do you want to use the banner?"

Yeah, sure. I think we will have enough people. I spent the afternoon with parsifal who is working up a special FReeper rendition of "Stand By Your Man".

She also says she has purchased fourteen of the suckers and distributed them around the neighborhood! Think maybe she has some agenda here?

I heard Rush's show with the audio book. It was a scream! Or not, actually! Great bit, especially when he followed it with her screeching anti Bush speech!
