And surely African Americans like Jesse Jackson are vastly better off living in America than they would be if they were to live in, say, Ethiopia or Somalia.
They say seeing is believing. I would like to put this one to the test (for Jesse Jackson, that is).
Great article bump!

Even on the right, traditionally the home of patriotism, we hear influential figures say that America has become so decadent that we are "slouching towards Gomorrah."
Idiot! As if we aren't. Don't talk about it though.
If these critics are right, then America should be destroyed.
No ace, what it means is we should look where we're headed and alter our course. Duh!
But the critics are wrong about America, because they are missing the big picture. In their indignation over the sins of America, they ignore what is unique and good about American civilization.
Nobody's missing the big picture but this writer. We all know what's good about our nation. What this guy wants people to do is faxate on that good and ignore everything else. So do the socialists in our nation.
As an immigrant who has chosen to become an American citizen, I feel especially qualified to say what is special about America.
I might have known. Only an immigrant knows what it great about the United States. Next they'll be telling me that only immigrants want to work and that US citizens aren't interested in those jobs anymore. Oh wait, they already do.
10. Leave it to an immigrant to rant on the quality of life, as more and more immigrants degrade that standard.
09. Eh why bother...
