You deserve to be slapped silly if you don't like Cheetos...:)

I can't stand Cheetos. They remind me too much of Bill Clinton. (Cheat-o, puffy, full of nothing but air and they always leave a stain.)

Apparently you're not familiar with the tendency of the snotty little New York "intellectuals" to use loaded pejoratives like "evil empire". It's kind of like grade school (only less intellectual), where the "in-clique" mocks "the outs" by repeating what they say. You did go to grade school, didn't you? ;-)

You're missing the point...I agree that it is a loaded term. Coultier, though, accused the NYT of using it when in fact, the NYT was quoting Reagan who used that term. Again, I'm just parroting the claim of this Spinsanity author...if it is wrong, then I'm sure that won't be hard to show. I'm guessing though that it isn't and Coultier was just being sloppy.

In any case, I don't have a particular problem with Coultier's poltics or views...but I'm not going to endorse her if she engages in sloppy work. That'd make it kind of hard to take the moral high ground against such charlatans as Michael Moore.

Hmmm...you get The New York Times for free? Are you a member of the media?

P.S. Nothing's really "for free."

You're missing the point

No, I'm not.

Coultier, though, accused the NYT of using it when in fact, the NYT was quoting Reagan who used that term.

I'm not going to argue semantics with a college kid OR with Brendan Nyhan.

Ann ain't sloppy - she just gets too much gore on the horrified bystanders when she takes down her prey. Deal with it.

I already punctured dogbyte12's "sloppy" balloon. The "sloppy" label is coming from guys like Conason (Blumenthal's slightly nastier evil twin) and it was put out there to try to discredit Coulter. I'm not buying it.

According to that sort of logic, I discredited everything that the NY Times guest op-ed writer said in his piece by gunning down the egregious one-line error that the Times stuck in his column. I didn't, and we actually had a nice exchange.

Ann's larger strategy is to take no prisoners on her way in. You don't like the sight of the liberals' guts, go back to the fort until we're done.

LOL. Whatever, keep on sticking your head in the sand. There are plenty of other good conservative writers out there who actually keep good notes. It's sad you think good Republican rhetoric also requires that one be a loudmouthed dumbsh**. Are you sure you aren't a closet liberal?

The McCarthy lie was one of the great communist triumphs of the 20th century.

...as a popular broadside aimed at a clueless public, it is fine.

Bingo. Most people don't have the time or the interest to read the normally dense prose of history books. If Coulter's hard-hitting attacks on liberal love-affairs with Communism help to convince even a few people not to leave matters of national security up to the Democratic party, then she deserves our accolades.

It's not the "heat" that bothers them - it's Ann's exposure of their "smell."
