"It's very confusing over here," said Henry Chu, chairman of the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club, which is scheduled to provide lion dancers for the parade. "I don't side with anybody. I just want to do the right thing for the community."

Why confusing? I imagine that homosexual activists would love "lion dancers"!

Can't think of a better way to further alienate the public than trying to insert your perversion in a kids parade.

I don't think that there is any premeditation. They just follow their heart.

"I wonder what would happen if say 10,000 fundamentalist church members wanted to march in their gay rights parade"

This is something that should be discussed.....time to strike back!

But if the parade is (or was originally) a city affair, then state law precludes the city from excluding groups based on political beliefs.

"political beliefs"?! Since when feeling an attraction to kids is a political belief?

Make no mistake, gay activists are not just following their hearts, they are following their leaders and bending to peer pressure. If you have one-on-one conversations with many, you will find they are gay by recruitment, not by biology. This is about fitting in with a group, any group, not about sexuality.

Homosexuality:

Homosexuality is deviant sexual behavior and a mental illness.

Homosexuals: 1) subject their body parts to uses nature did not intend, such activities often presenting immediate risk to the participants; 2) are prone to greater suicide, depression and other mental disorders and deficiencies than the heterosexual population at large; 3) are prone to far greater sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, than the (normal) heterosexual population; 4) molest young people (pedophilia) at a far greater rate than heterosexuals; 5) engage in degrading sexual promiscuity, oftentimes engaging in risky sex with many partners during the same event; 6) are engaged in aggressive and widespread efforts to indoctrinate our children by introducing the homosexual lifestyle using public schools as the primary indoctrination “vehicle” and likewise, through the movie/music/TV industry, with the dual goals of gaining school-age acceptance of homosexuality and encouraging sexual activity among children, especially same-sex experimentation; 7) view most everything through a mindset heavily biased in favor of the homosexual lifestyle and culture, which renders them mostly useless when asked to opine on matters that normal heterosexuals better resolve.

The mental deficiencies described herein applying to homosexuals shall not be confused with the deficiencies associated with the left wing democrat/socialist/marxist/ feminist/environmentalist minds, etc., which have their own distinct set of mental disorders.

This doesn't even touch on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality.

The Lawrence V. Texas and the Univ of Michigan rulings may well represent the turning point in our battle to be the greatest country in the world. Unless we can find a way around it and get organized in a battle to take America back, we will lose.

Justice O'Connor has sold out our country and our children in a manner that will reverberate for centuries to come.

Oh My God! I am p_ssed to say the least! GLSEN claims to teach tolerance for those who are different but I now know differently. I always thought that what people do behind closed doors is there own business and I left it at that, but now I am having a change of heart where that is concerned.

They are targeting YOUNG children and it's made worse by the politicians who allow these people even near our children!

Wait until my husband comes home from work tonight....

Yeah, I am sure the ACLU would be right there, filing a suit on behalf of the church members.

William Woods, of the Gay and Lesbian Education and Advocacy Foundation, asked city Deputy Managing Director Malcolm Tom if the city was considering his organization's offer to sponsor the parade if the Hawaii Christian Coalition pulls out.

Pardon me...could you repeat the name of that group?

Just what is it that the GLEA is "advocating?"

I would think more along the lines of:
Children need a safe environment
Father and mother are essential parts of a family
Abstinance until marriage is the safest sex
Maybe 2% of the population is homosexual
NAMBLA advocates criminal activity

You get the drift...

In court papers, Mayor Jeremy Harris said, "I have directed that the city not provide any support or services for the Kids' Parade that was not provided for the (Gay) Pride Parade" last Saturday.

And why did the city help organize the gay pride parade?

The ACLU is purporting to be seeking equality before the law by insisting that everyone be allowed in every parade.

However, since that allows anyone to destroy the focus of any parade, it seems to me that the interest of equality before the law would be better served by the sponsoring of seperate parades, equally sponsored, if the city has to be involved at all, which I question, beyond issueing permits and closing streets as needed.

I personally am not convinced that the city should be taxing its citizens for the purpose of sponsoring parades for any special interest groups. Gay pride seems especially over the top, and not in the general interest.
