Today, the Second Amendment Sisters were represented in the Fourth of July parade in Lakeway, TX. Even though we had a steady drizzle throughout the parade, literally thousands of men, women and children lined the 3 1/2 mile parade route. We were warmly welcomed by all, and even received scattering applause.
It's traditional in the parade here for the entrants to toss candy to the kids. Well, we came up with the bright idea to toss water pistols to them. We spent an evening pasting SAS stickers on hundreds of these water guns, wondering all the time if we were going to get run out of town---one never knows what might happen in today's climate--LOL!
We were more or less mobbed along the entire route, even the adults wanted our guns. So many people gave us thumbs up, made great comments, and told us to keep up the good fight.
All in all, it restored my faith a bit in people. It's great to see that there are still folks who understand and cherish their rights.

Sounds like a few the weather and squirt-guns made for a few wet t-shirts.
We'll all be waiting patiently for the pics. Uh, you did take pics ....didn't you?

Good for you guys!
This morning I had to refrain from flipping off Joy Smith and Llooyydd Ddooggeett (intentional misspelling) as they trundled through my neighborhood. Joy does make some really good pickled jalapenos though... she should stick to that instead of trying to emmulate Rosie O'Doughnut.
Now, it's off to continue working on the nursery.
Happy Independance Day, Patriots....

Jolly good show, old chap!
(I'll bet the Brits wish they could say that about a parade supporting the right to bear arms!)

Many of the pro-RKBA Brits live over on this side of the pond nowadays. Now that's the kind of immigration I fully support.
