Many if not most of the people who write "G-d" do so for religious reasons of their own. They feel there is a religious proscription against spelling out the word "God".

LOL! Even if I believed that such lightning strikes happened I can think of better reasons for such to happen.

Such as the time I was in my best friend's wedding party. I think everyone was relieved that it was a clear day. :snicker:

Revealing that you should think of the reason for not spelling it out in this fashion. But I guess it's consistent with your view of G-d.

That's not how God typically operates. His purpose is to bring people to salvation, regardless of how they spell His name.

God doesn't lightning strike the vast majority of people who use his name in foul and derogatory ways. So why would you expect him to lightning strike someone who was trying to show him respect.
