I don't think that is known. My mom has had ALS for three years. While she has lost the use of her legs, she still has quite a bit of upper body strength.

I have a cousin with ALS. His quick wit and positive attitude has been a source of strength for all around him. None of us knows how we would react if in the same situation. Anything that would lessen the effect of this disease would be a blessing.

this , but be careful who you tell, certain folks have a vested interest in not knowing that this simple abundant & cheap (i.e. not patantable) stuff from the earth is a precursor to many healing chemical processes our bodies can perform if given a good kick-start.
