Do you know who writes the speeches for "W"? I'm sure he has a lot of say in what the final outcome is because the spiritual side of GWB always comes through loud and clear. It is truly genuine and that is a good thing!

At one time the main staff was comprised of Directory Michael Gerson and deputies Matt Scully, Peter Wehner, and David Frum. The latter has moved on. I am not sure what the full staff's roster is now.

Read David Frum's book The Right Man. He is a Bush former speechwriter and gives a lot of insight into how his speeches are formulated. Gerson is the guiding force.
