I am not sure "We Were Soldiers" is conservative. It is a fine film that shows heroism under battle. Every nation celebrates those who had fallen and those who had served. The Soviet Union made dozens of movies that celebrated their WWII victory over Germany. Are those "conservative" films? Celebrating military victories are not by themselves conservative. Worship of the military is not conservative.
