Yesterday, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D.-Calif.) was successful in leading the charge to force Americans to pay for abortions in foreign countries. Boxer offered an amendment to S. 925, the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, to repeal the "Mexico City" policy, which was reinstated by President Bush in 2001. Nine Republicans (including Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter who is up for re-election in 2004 and will have tough primary against Rep. Pat Toomey) joined the Democrats in allowing taxpayer monies to fund abortions overseas under the guise of family planning "performed or promoted by international-based nongovernmental organizations."

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D.-Calif.) Just curious, but would a series of sound bites from Sen. Boxer be refered to as Boxer shorts? Perhaps particularly offensive sound bites from the esteemed Senator would be "soiled Boxer shorts."

Boxer and Spector support using taxpayer money to fund abortions in foreign lands. More abortion on demand. More killing of innocent human life. When will it stop?

I love how the "let them eat cake" crowd loves to use my money to fund a medical procedure that I abhor on people who aren't even citizens of this country.

Yeah, like we've got all this extra money to be spending on killing foreigners' babies. If we hate them so much, why don't we spend the money on a war? Then at least we'd be paying our own soldiers and defense contractors! (/sarcasm)

And the Dems want to blame foreigners hating America on Bush and Republicans? It is these liberal Democrats who feel so 'gracious' to help other women claim their right to abortion. Mexico is probably 95+ Catholic. Abortion is a mortal sin according to their religion. Shouldn't this just make Americans more of an 'infidel' and intruding their policy?
To: hinterlander
Thankfully, this bill must still go to conference with the House where any repeal of the "Mexico City" policy will likely meet its demise.Let's pray that it dies there.

Typical Leftist tripe. They'll go out of their way to destroy the unborn innocents, but if you try to go after terrorists, the Leftists will obstruct your every move.
Pretty much shows where their actual allegiances lie...
