An examination of the destruction of the Japanese Army in Manchuria by the Russians in 1945 doesn't make it seem that the US could have gone straight to Moscow. The Germans lost about 2,000,000 military dead against the Soviets when the Soviets were unprepared. It's not at all clear that the US could have done better when Russia was on a war-footing. I concur. The Russians (well, at least Uncle Joe) were willing to take 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%+ casualties against the Germans.
The Western way of war breaks down against that model.

By today's standards, he would be considered a "right-wing extremist" !The Communist Manifesto has about accomplished all of its goals....But RUSH thinks we are becoming more conservative. He also told us GW was a conservative before his election.
