I'm not ashamed to give to Bush, but I really think that this information should be kept private. First, the FEC lists names and addresses of all donors, even if those donors aren't listed! So if you give over $200 to any political candidate once, everyone knows your address. They also know your job and where you work. And you can search by company, so the CEO can see if there are any Dems or Republicans or pro-lifers or pro-choicers at the company. I guess campaign finance reform is the opposite of privacy.

You are right! Anything over $200 contains all information which is open to public!
Must admit that I have been to Open Secrets a time or two checking out who is donating to RATs when that person appears as a non-partisan on cable news or in print stories.
