The al-Qaida (Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council) detainee told investigators that his plan called for three or four operatives to travel to the United States and set timed explosive devices in forests and grasslands. The devices would be set to detonate after the operatives had left the country.I think the above highlited enviro/nazis have done far more damage to our forests than Al Qaida ever could.

this guy was watching CNN and thought to take credit, or follow, another event that "scares" Americans. They're murderous psychopaths.

Didn't one of our freepers during our threads re the Oregon fires last year tell us that these fires could have been acts of Islamofascist terrorism?

Are we being too timid in our concern for protecting the innocent?
Remember, racial profiling is a no-no, even though virtually all of the terrorists in the last 40 years have been middle eastern men between the approximate ages of 18 - 50.

Thanks for posting this.
This part of the article is incredible:
"The Forest Service took note of the warning, a spokeswoman said, but didn't really change any of its policies or operating patterns.
"In fact, many forest law enforcement officers contacted by The Republic had no idea the warning had been issued at all.
"It goes along with the rest of the alerts," said Rose Davis, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho. "It's a reminder to be vigilant. We hope the public is, too. If you see something suspicious in an airport, report it. Likewise, if you see something suspicious in a forest, report it."
"But neither the interagency fire center nor the Forest Service chose to report the warning to the public. The decision to release the information was up to the FBI. A spokeswoman for the bureau's Denver office, which drew up the memo, declined to comment.
Sounds like the Watermelon Druids in the Forestry Service left over from the Clintoonscum era decided not tell the
people under them about this potential threat.

"Very interesting." The threat of al qaeda in the western states reminds me of the punchline...
"...That's cuz we ain't played cowboys and arabs, yet."
To: jpl
I suspect that Al Queda probably isn't nearly as big as what most of us think. There's no question they caught us napping on 9/11, but I'm starting to believe more and more that they may have blown their wad that day. i tend to agree.
even with us napping, i think they were spectacularly lucky to pull off the tower attacks successfully. i don't think we are likely to see any successful attack on that scale again.

Is there any difference between an Enviral Green Jihadist or an Islamofacist Jihadists, when both work 24/7 to harm and destory America?

. i don't think we are likely to see any successful attack on that scale again.Really? What has your gubment done to prevent another disaster? Borders sealed? Airports secured? Terrorist masterminds captured, beaten, dipped in acid then salt then fed to wild pigs?
We're no safer now then before but them alerts sure make it seem like we are.
Not to mention that there are currently armies of little eco-freak-terrorist groups capable of far more than what a few islamonuts running roughshod all over the place.

This just shows that they're not very bright, Japan tried the same thing with these really cool baloon bombs, had almost zero effect. What's the functional difference between finding out a fire was started by a dumb ass and finding out it was started by a nut job?

And when things really get bad - as they did in 2000, 2001 and last year - Army and Marine units get called out as emergency firefighters. Three bad years in a row...and how many illegal aliens are unaccounted for?
