First, I didn't see JB say that the site should come down. Which if that's how he feels it's
extremely commendable given his occupation.
I believe in equal justice under the law. If we can't look up the cop's asses they shouldn't be able to look up our any time they want. If they can look up ours any time they want we should be able to do the same.
They're info is no safer with us than ours is with them.

There is a reason why a cop can look "up your ass" and they need to be protected from those who would do them harm. I'd give you a description of the job a cop does, however I believe it should have been covered in kindergarten.

You said "I believe in equal justice under the law. If we can't look up the cop's asses they shouldn't be able to look up our any time they want. If they can look up ours any time they want we should be able to do the same. "
So we should be able to look at a bank tellers checking account, know what a grocery store clerk eats for dinner, what your doctor's cholesterol level is?
What part of privacy is so hard to understand? I agree that police officers should only look up information for legitimate purposes and some may take advantage of that.
But just because a few officers take advantage does not mean that all of them should have to have their information easily accessable.

WRONG....the police are not creating websites with a purpose of exposing information about you. Big difference!

An honest officer would have nothing to fear.
Only the crooked are concerned with oversight.
The most popular line used by LEOs is " if you
did nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry
about." Apply it to yourselves, officers.
And BTW stop the lying in court, and lying to get
justice and lying to protect your crooked LEO friends
from the same justice system that you work for.
Civilians, ask your self this: why do officers prefer
to beat on ( or in the Louima case,...sodomize. )
a suspect inside the precinct or station house?
It's the preferred location. We all know why, don't we?
