"Low level" al-Quaeda operatives . . . like those guys who walked onto the airplanes on Sept. 11?
Killing them works for me. That's all the link I need is that "AQ" after their name.
What is most outrageous is that GRAHAM KNOWS BETTER, that lying sack of monkey _______, and he is spinning this for his slimy personal gain.

Yep, at this rate, we would need video of Osama and Saddam tag-team torturing a gay black man for the media to even begin to agree that there was a link.

What started this whole posting was that the damnable story appeared in this morning's Sunday paper here.
You have to understand just where here is to understand my fury over this. Here is the City of Sierra Vista Arizona located in the Southeast corner of the state just about 30 miles west of the town you should all remember of Tombstone. Our town is the main town that supports Fort Huachuca.
That may not sound like much but that is the Military Intelligence Training post and the post that has the communications equipment that supported Gen Franks directly back to NMCA. Most of the folks that live in this town are either active, reserve component, retired or GS's. So when our Podunk paper printed the story I knew I had to get it out to FR.
We'll see what happens next, and I'll report back to you all on it, as I've just sent the Tennessean story with a scathing complaint to the Sierra Vista Herald.

So, do you think it's possible that FreeRepublic pressure could get crack(ed magazine read too many times) AP Journalist, Matt Kelly, Blaired?Well, I immediately looked for an email for Kelley when I saw the piece, just to let him know what I thought of his journalism skills. But alas, the AP makes it as difficult as possible for the public to express an opinion that reaches into the guts of the organization.

"One of the things that concerns me is the continued reference to the war in Iraq as part of the war on terrorism. There's not much evidence to support that linkage," said Sen. Bob Graham of FloridaNo link to war on terror!???
- What about Saddam openly bragging about paying Palestinian terrorists?
- What about all those suicide jackets we found during the war?
- What about that base of Al Quaeda people in NW Iraq. Mli>What about the Jordanian ambassador's assassin who was directed by Al Qaeda operating out of Iraq.
- What about the intercepted Al Quaeda communications saying relations with Bahgdad were good and it could be easily transited.
- What about that mural of 911 in Saddam's military headquarters?
- What about that paper that the TN judge has that printed the name of Saddam's laison with Al Quaeda?
Come on Sen. Bob Graham to say there were no links. Why it is ....
TREASON!!!

Don't despair folks!
A few days ago, a retired policeman who is in Iraq to investigate some of the documents we found recently, has come across a document showing communication with a person in Pakistan who is designated as "a coordinator of activities between Saddam and Osama".
I'm hoping that while Tony Blair is here on 7/17 for his joint session of congress, he and Bush will reveal all this info - which will pull the rug out from under the dems ONE MORE TIME!

Just had the tube on and Wolfie was encouraging Z-Big-Knew and Dissenger to agree that WMDs and a link to al-Qaida was all a GW lie.
Dissinger waffled but Z-Big-Knew jumped right in there. Then to top it off Wolfie got Sen. Gra-HAM to chime with the words that you've provided.
----
PS: DesertCoyote just stopped in and stated that it's awfully funny that Dean's son getting arrested gets no play but let one of GW's girls belch in public and there is two month's worth of press coverage and ire over it.

It would be a real shame for the 'rats if Al-Quada starts taking credit for attacks on our soldiers in Iraq. That would kind of make their claimes of no link look really stupid.

al-Qaida openly take credit for attacks in Iraq? Maybe, but what few leaders if you can call them that in al-Qaida are smart enough to know to keep their mouths shut on that topic.
What they have to fear is that we have or will get a number of their dolts in our hands alive, with documents, and who will start talking unendingly in an attempt to save their sorry hides.

"The relationships that were plotted were episodic, not continuous," the former official said. Oh, well that makes things so much better. < / sarcasm > Another imaginary story whipped up by the press. It never stops.

Anyone else think that this leak is a revenge leak for all the harsh talk about the State Dept by Rumsfeld, and his crew at the Pentagon? How could it be a revenge leak? Even if liberal Democrat, Gore supporter Merritt felt a need to go to bat for Republican Sec of State Powell, presumably, I assume you're saying, to bolster the more "liberal" elements in the Bush administration, how exactly does establishing a link between Saddam and bin Laden hurt Rumsfeld? Doesn't that link, if it exists, burnish the image of the entire administration, Rumsfeld included?

As President Bush works to quiet a controversy over his discredited claim of Iraqi uranium shopping in Africa,It wasn't discredited and there's another AP article that is very well written that details Condi Rice's Sunday talk show appearances and sets the record straight.
As to Greg Thielmann, he's been "retired" (voluntarily or otherwise?) since September and has turned up in several "news" stories this week making the same baseless claims. I don't give any credence to to the anonymous source.
