There are many threads on FreeRepublic about the re-election of George W Bush.
I will never vote for a President who acts as if the Wahhabis are our friends instead of acknowledging that they are our mortal enemies and acts appropriately towards them.

Mueller is a loser. He has done nothing about the clintonoids in FBI headquarters. He should have been fired long ago, along with George Tenet.
I suspect Karl Rove is the person who is advising Bush to go easy on the Arabs. Rove is a smart guy, but pandering to terrorist-supporting Arabs is not the smartest idea in the world--because frankly it won't work.
I have divided opinions about Bush. He certainly has done a lot of good things in the War Against Terror. Court is still out on the Saudis. There were reasons why he couldn't go after them first, even though they are at the bottom of the whole terrorist threat, and Iraq still needs to be subdued before we go on to the next operation, which should probably be Syria or Iran.
I honestly don't know whether Bush will treat the Saudis as they deserve or not. It's a very delicate and difficult matter and it's too soon to tell, one way or the other.

There is a strange consistency about the Clinton and Bush administrations playing Godfather to the Muslim groups. The pattern seems to be to use the Muslims as proxy-warriors to empower groups indebted to the USA. However, the plan - if such there be - falls apart with the fanatic loyalty to Islam. By definition, they can't allow an indebtedness to Western powers. They are better prepared to risk starvation & death.
Clinton and Bush both totally ignored the Afghan opium crops, even though they represent a huge and ongoing narco-terrorism to the USA.
Bush has never said a word against Clinton that I'm aware of. His sealing of Presidential records protected the hell out of Bill & Hillary.
Something just doesn't fit. Or, maybe it does when properly viewed.
