Hello kristinn. Interesting article. RI gov. thinks the casino will take away from RI's revenue. The casinos hire a lot of local citizens outside of the reservations and their incomes will be taxed, so what is the ole gov concerned with? Funny, how people of european and asian extraction are reimbursed for "injuries" done to their ancestors, but when it comes to American Indians trying to become entrepeneurs the local and state government's elected officials become histronic with their verbage of taxes "due". Not only will there be a casino, there will probably be a very nice restaurant connected with the casino which will most likely hire a qualified chef from outside the reservation, if they can't find a qualified chef on the reservation.
I'm surprised the presstitutes haven't gone ballistic with the treatment of these people being thrown to the ground, like we've watched when a person of another race was done the same way.
We must also keep in mind, most people living near an Indian reservation do not like Indians, because of alcohalics seen roaming around and the fact that some Indians "ditch" their debris anywhere.
We must also never forget government is the only parasite that feeds off of itself, until there is no more, as we have watched in the USSR and are now watching in N Korea.
Freedom is NOT free, we must be forever watchful and on guard.

Hardly, the following link describes a multitude of programs that are available exclusively to this tribe and paid for by your tax dollars.

As far as them becoming entrepreneurs, why should they be given special privileges? If gambling is illegal in Asian or European neighborhoods it should be illegal on the reservation too.

If gambling is illegal in Asian or European neighborhoods it should be illegal on the reservation too.In that case, gambling should be illegal everywhere, including Las Vegas and Reno.

Expensive habit, isn't it?
It is now, thanks to the meddling of politicians on both sides of the aisle. They picked a tar baby and neither side will stop the persecution.
To: MrLeRoy
Nah...the politicians drink alcohol. They're going after snackfood and burgers. Eat them while you can. Soon we won't be able to afford them.
