Researchers found "a striking relationship" between being overweight at age 70 and developing the mind-robbing dementia 10 to 18 years later.

I thought all the fat people were supposed to be dead by 70?

Let me help you out:

"Gee, now we know why Hillary couldn't remember where the billing records were!"

(Rim-shot.)

"But seriously, you're a great audience. Now last night's audience, that was a bad audience..."

Here's the joke:

Researchers found "a striking relationship" between being overweight at age 70 and developing the mind-robbing dementia 10 to 18 years later.

The "fat women" lived another 10 to 18 years and then developed Alzheimers (so they were between the ages of 80 and 98, way past the life expectancy average).

Well, something's going to get you in the end, be it cancer, Alzheimer's, heart problems, or just old age. Osteoporosis tends to affect older women who tend to be thin, so if the story was written from another angle, it would be bemoaning the fact women who are thin at age 70 are more likely to suffer from osteoporosis and hip fractures.

They actually got it backwards; women with Alzheimer's are at a higher risk of becoming obese; they keep forgetting that they ate.
