Trooper, Former Girlfriend Charged In Wife's Shooting

POSTED: 9:13 a.m. EDT July 16, 2003

ROXBORO, N.C. -- A state trooper and his former girlfriend have been indicted on charges in the shooting of the trooper's estranged wife.

The Person County grand jury issued the indictments yesterday against Trooper Bobby Earl Regan and Linda Strickland Lee.

Regan was charged with attempted first degree murder and conspiracy. Lee was charged with conspiracy.

They are accused in the June 12 shooting of Danielle Regan, who was wounded when a bullet pierced the window of her bathroom.

Investigators say the trooper's wife is in hiding out of state because she fears for her life. Regan and Lee each are free on bond.

A horse walks into a bar. The bartender comes up and says "Hey pal, what will it be?"

The horse orders a beer.

A few minutes later, John Kerry walks in and sits at the bar. The bartender walks up and says "Hey pal, cheer up. Why the long face?"

I'll stop if you guys will donate and get us over our fundraising goal
