GENEVA — Top United Nations officials have called for rich donor countries to come forward and provide $102.9 million in emergency funds, over the next six months, to assist more than 1.5 million Palestinians who have fallen into abject poverty blamed on the tough Israeli security measures in the occupied territories.

Gee, I wonder who told them to leave in the first place back in 1947-48?...could it have been the arab states who were getting ready to invade the new land of Israel? Yes, it was. They warned them to leave before that part of Israel was attacked. Anyone every heard of ironic justice?

Why the hell is it that the UN thinks that the Palestinians are the only people in the world that need this so-called emergency aid? Off the top of my head, I can think of dozens of countries and refugee groups far more deserving, who receive far less aid and infinitely less media attention. I guess if you want money from the UN, you have to blow Jews up...

The UN pretty much ignored the massacres and genocides in Africa (or even aided the enemy). It picks and chooses who to help, and not based on need.
The American people need to put pressure on their reps to get us out of the UN. I heard that a bill about getting us out of the UN, HR 1146, didn't make it the other day. Many so-called American reps supported it right up until the vote, then didn't follow through.
