I think of this when I see a black American wearing African garb
as if they could identify with them in anyway.. what..so..ever.
I always, without exception want to say "Do you know what it would be like if you lived there?!!"
Those dashiki-wearing types think that 'Coming to America' was a documentary, that there are benevolent despots a-plenty, countries where elephants peacefully wander across golf courses, and the people are all happy. And it's only colonial interference that ruined the paradise that is the REST of Africa.
And of course, we're the racist idiots. [/sarcasm]
