Re #7

I read two different version.

(1) In the first version, just as you said, Daddy and son had a big arguement, resulting in the Daddy's heart attack. It happened in their resort mansion at Mt. Myo-hyang. Due to a bad weather at the mountain, the evacuation helicopter which was sent had trouble landing at the place in time. By the time the chopper landed, he was already dead. The pilot of the chopper was later sentenced to death for this mishap. This is the version floating around in S. Korea not long after Kim's death.

(2) The second version was supposedly from Kim Il-sung's wife, Kim Sung-ae. I read it recently. According to this, the wife called her daughter staying in Europe by telephone after Kim's death. In it, she recounted, "Your father was so busy preparing for the inter-Korean summit with (then S. Korean president) Kim Young-sam. He had countless meetings and worked many hours. He was really stressed. He tried to relax by taking a hot bath. However, he collapsed while doing it."

I do not know which one is correct. It is also possible that both are corrent to some degree.:)

I think defector Mr. Hwang came over the fence after The Great Daddy kicked the bucket in 1994, correct? Maybe Hwang has a unique and factual take on this then. I think he would have been close enough to the inner circle to know what actually went 'down'. That might be a good set of questions to ask him when/if he gets into Congressional hearings.

I believe Mt. Myohang is also the resort villa that the Japanese sushi chef worked at and stayed at. I have seen his photos from the 1990s of the place. Not shabby at all.

If Version #1 (on Kim Il Sung's death) is true, then he died somewhere in the vicinity of here, below, (also near nuclear sites and also the International Friendship Pavillion, with some of the most hideous gifts to the Kim Dynasty from around the world on display there):

MT. MYOHANG, NORTH KOREA
