Milosevic prosecution enters critical stage
THE HAGUE AP Thursday, July 17, 2003
With time running out, the chief UN war crimes prosecutor said Wednesday that she had yet to prove her case of genocide against Slobodan Milosevic and that the next few months would be critical.
The prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, said in an interview that crucial evidence would soon be presented to the tribunal regarding the former Yugoslav president's involvement with the massacre in Srebrenica and the bombardment of Sarajevo.
She said that she was confident it would lead to convictions for genocide - the most serious of the 66 charges Milosevic faces. The prosecution has until the end of the year to complete its case in the Milosevic trial, which began in February 2002. Milosevic, who is representing himself, will then have equal time - nearly two years - to present his defense.

Next few months? Two years to present a defense? This is terroristic boredom if I ever saw it.

What a farce of a monkey trial. Free Slobo immediately, and put back to work in the Balkans, scourging it of Islamic aggression.

Well I have to ask this question, where did Bill get his information that justified the bombing? Obviosly it was inaccurate. He lied.

You can't even call this a kangaroo court, because that would be quick. It's more like something out of Kafka.

Well, I certainly hopes this doesn't mean that they will let him off without paying the bribes!! I mean, what would this do to the future revenue potential of EVERY UN diplomat and employee. UNers set up extreme rules and violations to extort the targets to pay them bribes to change the initial ruling/judgment. The left-wing media enforces this methodology. What would happen if the UN lets this guy off the hook without getting paid? It could really set a terrible precedent. Could you imagine what would happen to the life style of most of the UNers in NYC if, all of a sudden, they didn't have, say, even half, of their bribes, payoffs and kickbacks?

This can't possibly be true - this was Bill's war - and DemocRATs are always right.....by being left.
Every day, it seems, our boys unearth another mass grave and further evidence of ethnic atrocities by Saddam in Iraq - yet the liberals scream "where's those WMD".
Here we have a Liberal's war that is showing, day-by-day, that it was unjustified and we hear nothing from the media or the liberals....
Go figure.

Does this mean Bill Clinton lied to the American people about the urgency to go to war in Kosovo without even a United Nations vote?

Does this mean Bill Clinton lied to the American people about the urgency to go to war in Kosovo without even a United Nations vote? And he did it in a lot more than sixteen words.

The was meant to be a kangaroo court show trial like Stalin's doctors' trials of the 1930s or the Nuremberg Trials. Instead it's turned into a drawn-out nightmare for all the participants, and especially the liberals who tried to railroad Milosevitch.
One thing you can say for this trial is that it has consumed the time and energy of a lot of NWO troublemakers such as Carla Del Ponte who would otherwise be making mischief somewhere else.
Bush has not stepped in to end it, but he has quietly stuck by the sunset provision. He knows it's a terrible precedent.

W said 16 words in the SOTU, all of which were true, and the Democrats and the NYT are in a tizzy fit.
What Clinton and the Times did to Serbia was criminal. Jason Blair was nothing but a entertaining Bull Shipper, his bosses in the Times, Punch and Pinch on the other hand, is what is destroying the Times.

By contrast how many mass graves were found in Kosovo? Only a few with less than 100 were found to my knowledge. In Iraq they've found a number with thousands in them. Some estimates predict upwards of 500,000 people will be found in such graves over time.
In the Iraq/Iran war 1 million people died, about half on each side. In the Gulf War more Iraqis died. Then Hussein had hundreds of thousands killed in purges. He is responsible for the deaths of at least 1.5 million, over half of which was his own people, yet the dems criticize Bush for taking him out.
Wasn't it up until about six months ago they were damning his father for "not finishing the job"? Now his son has and they're frothing at the mouth from the opposite direction.

Presumably from the same Intel Expert's the current WH got their info. It must have been those Clintoon holdover's that W didn't fire when he came onboard. Wait, what's wrong with this statement? Blackbird.

No I hadn't. Thank you. It's a good read. It's repetitive but the points are pounded home. Good for Weldon.
There is no shame in the left. They are devoid of any morals whatsoever.

Rush just got done doing a comparision of Kosovo and Iraq. IMO all positive news for Milosevic.
Hopefully the worm is turning on the Democrats and the Clinton's bombing of Kosovo.

Clean house maybe? Heh heh heh.
IMO Bush made several critical errors upon entering office. The criminality of Clinton should have been revealed somehow. Heck, the Bush crew was even afraid to document the trashing of the White House. Evil men must be revealed. God knows what evil Clinton will be in a position to carry out due to his true nature not being documented beyond a reasonable doubt.
His foreign policy comments continue to be a disgrace on this nation. A discredited felon wouldn't have the platform this shameless charleton does.

Either Kafka or "Through the Looking Glass". Remember the Queen of Hearts and her theory? First the sentence, then the trial. This thing is truly a joke.

I'm going to have to plead gulity to not tuning in to the Kosovo issue as much as I should have. I was wrong not to. So were a lot of Republican leaders.
