Say it ain't so, Bob! (Still wondering why he's wasting a rare talent for baseball broadcasting in a POS venue such as that!)

(Just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary. You have the right to be wrong.)

I don't care for his baseball broadcasting--unless the only other choice is McCarver. For my money, Miller and Morgan are best in the business.
Hey Costas, nice plastic surgery.

Say it ain't so, Bob! (Still wondering why he's wasting a rare talent for baseball broadcasting in a POS venue such
as that!) I always found Bob Costas as more fluff than substance as a baseball broadcaster. He'll state the obvious and convey it as a subtle nuance of the game. Oh, for the days of Curt Gowdy, Tony Kubek and Joe Garagiola for a quality NBC broadcast team.

Or even Peewee Reese and Dizzy Dean. "I believe I'll have me another Falstaff, Peewee"

It's important to understand that Costas, like most people, is desperate for the approval of his peers- in this case, his peers are those in the entertainment industry. He's already fighting the stigma of being a sportscaster. Avoiding the cocktail party snub means being a liberal. Being a conservative, among those people, means being an unsophisticated boor- and a ticket to being a pariah. It's not much more complicated than that. Our environment very much shapes our views- even as adults.

I like that! I'm stealing it(but only to say to my liberal English teacher)

Costas will need to see a dermatologist to return his nose to its normal color.

Hillary could not possibly answer the second question on Whitewater, on Filegate, on Travelgate . . .
Consequently she will never submit to an interview by anyone not reliably liberal. So if you DO get an interview with Hillary, you might as well sew a scarlet "L" on your chest while you're at it.
