When these men come back they will have a different view of this country.
I hope they fare better than the Viet Nam Veterans. When I returned, my biggest shock other than miniskirts and panty hose was the coverage I watched on the evening news. I couldnt believe that they were reporting on the same war I had just left. It helped explain the reception I received at San Francisco International.
I didnt like the reporters I encountered over there, and watching and reading their drivel made a lasting impression.

Thank you for your service, R. Sometimes I think that post 9-11 America is the reason you guys went through the cultural abuse during Vietnam. Today's troops reach out to the Vets...and the Vietnam Vets reach out to help the troops. It's awesome.
