In New York yesterday, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan called on the United States and the Economic Community of West African States to make swift preparations to deploy peacekeepers.

It's sooo impressive to hear that Kofi put out his Cuban cigar and put down his champagne glass long enough to call upon the U.S to make "swift preparations" to sacrifice American lives so he can appear as a pseudo-effective Secretary-General.

Will the U.N. be asked to vote on a resolution first?

In Crawford, Texas, President Bush said his administration is "working with the United Nations" to end the violence.

This is the same UN that looked away when those genocides occured in Rwanda and elsewhere.
