everyone who is talking about a quagmire is going to end up looking like a fool in about 3 months -- just like everyone who was talking about a quagmire during the war ended up looking like a fool after about 3 weeks had passed. Same difference, just a longer lead time in the anti-quagmire result.

We should capture him about the same time the Democratic attack ads start getting fired up. Burst balloon. All that Rat money spent for nothing. What a shame. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I don't think it took weeks for them to look like fools... as I recall, the military advanced rapidly, and about 3 weeks in someone floated a rumor that they were going to halt for a couple of weeks... that weekend, quagmire became the operative word... but within a couple of days we were knocking on Baghdad's door. So I would say the quagmire fools began that weekend, and were made to look foolish within days.

Amidst my doom and gloom attitude about the rats' attacks on W, a thought occured to me yesterday: what is Iraq going to look like in one year? My guess is that there won't be daily sniping at our soldiers. Iraq will be up and running and most of the bad elements will be captured. That is why it's so urgent that the rats destroy W now.
