Call me cynical, but I've assumed that a number of events from the last year or so that are being kept "under wraps" and released at opportune times. They include any one of the "rumors" that is swirling around at any given time (Saddam is dead, Osama is dead, Usay and Qasay are captured, Baghdad Bob is going to be the next spokesman for NAMBLA, etc.).

CNN's Barbara Starr (one of the good "guys") is reporting a big firefight in Mosul. Officials (Pentagon) said they are right now trying to indentify the people killed or captured. This is a major catch according to officials. Starr said Pentagon officials said it is very possible Hussien's sons were captured or killed in the raid. On right now.

MSNBC is running with the story about the possible capture of the brats. And it was Udai who had pictures of the Bush twins on the wall of one of his castles. Qusay was supposed to be the heir apparent.

Weirdly, if it is them, they were taken in a Kurdish area near the Iranian border, if I heard correctly.
